This is part of a collage series of abstracts using anatomy images. I have this old (really old) anatomy book that I used to study (notes and all). One day, I thought it would be cool to incorporate those sketches into my paintings so instead of cutting up the book, I googled old anatomy illustrations... images (including Leonardo da Vinci's drawings). Printed them and wah lah! In the mean time, I have been experimenting with mediums, techniques, texture, and color combinations. After that I decided that doodling with ink is my signature art so why not add it to my painting and here we are... Seeing images and messages and feelings all in a little painting. What fun.
Mid-Western artist, Daniel Rustad, (b.1962) makes paintings, drawings and mixed media artworks.
